Use this page to answer reviewer questions consistently after the May 21, 2026 Shopify App Store submission confirmation.

Permissions

StoreFix AI needs product access to scan product descriptions, search listing fields, and product media alt text. Write access is used only for merchant/operator-approved catalog fields and is guarded by snapshots plus rollback.

StoreFix AI uses read_products to scan product catalog quality and write_products only when an approved operator action applies selected fields. The app does not silently publish product changes. Before each write, StoreFix AI records the prior field values in a ProductWriteSnapshot, writes only the selected fields, records an audit event, and exposes rollback from the report.

Testing Instructions

Reviewers should use a development or test shop with products that intentionally contain missing alt text, missing search listing fields, and short descriptions.

1. Install/open StoreFix AI on the test shop. 2. Open the Catalog QA screen and confirm products are scanned. 3. Save a fulfillment report. 4. Open the report and review generated recommendations. 5. Select one approved product field and apply the update. 6. Confirm a write snapshot appears. 7. Use rollback to restore the prior field value.

Data Handling

StoreFix AI stores report data, intake jobs, job events, and write snapshots for fulfillment history, merchant auditability, and rollback.

Stored data is limited to catalog QA outputs, report records, fulfillment job metadata, write snapshots, and audit events. Shopify compliance webhooks remove shop/customer data when Shopify requests deletion. StoreFix AI does not sell merchant data and does not use catalog data for advertising.

Support

Support requests should include enough detail to reproduce the issue without accessing unrelated merchant data.

Please include the shop domain, report ID, job ID if available, affected product handle, expected result, actual result, and a screenshot of the StoreFix AI screen where the issue occurred.

No search-ranking or revenue guarantees.
No ad generation, blog generation, or broad search-visibility suite claims.
All writes require selected fields, snapshots, audit events, and rollback.
